As an expression of gratitude to the men and women who have valiantly served our country in all branches of the armed forces, a veteran's memorial was constructed at Valley 4th Memorial Church in Spokane Valley. This memorial, the first of its kind in the City of Spokane Valley, was dedicated on Sunday, May 29, 2011 following a very special Memorial Day church service. |

The Veteran's Memorial, located in front of Valley 4th Memorial Church (A Military Friendly Church) at 2303 S Bowdish in Spokane Valley, was constructed as a tribute to all who have served in the U.S. military, and especially to those who have given their lives defending our great nation. The monument features an American flag that will be lit 24 hours a day, a memorial plaque, and benches for visitors. The names of soldiers with local connections killed in action since September 11, 2001 have a special place on the monument. Funded entirely by private donations, the memorial will be open to the public and will give the residents of Spokane Valley and surrounding communities a place to honor those who have served and to reflect on the sacrifices made by our country's heroes. This project was developed through the H.O.M.E. military ministry at Valley 4th Memorial Church. |
